Since 1990, we have been supporting forest peoples to secure their rights, control their lands and decide their own futures. We do this by working side by side with indigenous and local groups and by bringing international expertise, including legal expertise, to support their cause - from mapping traditional lands to litigating governments, from engaging powerful global companies to shifting UN standards. We are seeking to grow our income from philanthropists, trusts and foundations. We want to build long-term relationships with people and organisations who can share our vision and engage in our programme of work. We are looking for someone who is creative, entrepreneurial and relationship-based to lead and shape this new area of work in line with our values. We seek someone who can think strategically over the long-term with a passion for social justice and who cares about the future of the planet.
