A fantastic long term opportunity has arisen with my client who are currently seeking a Transformation Director to lead the development and delivery of their back office transformation.

You must have demonstrable experience successfully managing large scale SAP transformation programmes in a retail environment or financial services environment, leading multi-disciplined teams.

The role will be based flexibly between London and Chesterfield, reporting primarily into the sponsor, Finance Controller, and also the Group CIO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead a transformation of Back Office people, process and technology across a variety for Back Office processes across finance, supply chain and reporting (predominantly finance)
- Lead delivery of adoption of end to end standardised SAP, best practice processes for back office
- Challenge any process requests that adapt "out of the box" and present to Steerco
- Manage the budget for the programme, ensuring that all parties are delivering value for money
- Ensure appropriate governance processes are embedded in the delivery framework and continuously monitor progress highlighting and providing solutions for risks and road blocks
- Manage, coach and support the project team throughout the delivery of the programme
- Prepare regular update papers on project progress for Steerco, GE and Board
- Simplify our IT and data landscape (this looks far too broad - delete?)
- Deliver value and capability in regular releases

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Senior Leader with a strong track record of delivering Complex Transformation Projects
- Recent experience of large scale SAP Transformation
- Technical understanding of all financial, cash and stock processes, systems and data.
- A strong Financial Background
- Familiar with agile project management methodology
- Leadership of cross-functional multi-disciplinary team
- Influential Communication Skills
- Strong Commercial and Third Party Management
- Experience within the Retail or Financial Services Sector
