Over the next 2 years, Trafford Housing Trust will be delivering an exciting programme of digital transformation.We are now looking for two Applications Analysts to both support our existing suite of applications and to work on projects to improve and expand our applications estate.Depending on the skills of the candidates we recruit, one role is likely to have a 50% - 50% split between business as usual and project work, whilst the other is likely to be more project-focused.

So, if you hold or are working towards a recognised advanced vocational or professional qualification and/or have the equivalent experience, then we want to hear from you. You'll have strong analytical skills, knowledge of 3rd party software applications and the ability to support and advise others using your technical and professional expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain the current application systems and processes in place.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation/guidance.

• Capture, analyse, document and manage business requirements.

• Provide business analysis skills, in order to offer advice and guidance to staff at all levels, as to possible IT solutions to their business issues and improve performance.

• Take a leading role in ICT Projects and other requests for change to ensure they are delivered to time

• Work closely with external software suppliers to ensure they meet SLA's

• Provide support and cover to the ICT Service Desk.

• Prepare and deliver training specific to the changes you are implementing.

• Provide close liaison with the ICT Infrastructure and Service Desk Team in the implementation, training and handover of completed projects.

• Develop ideas to improve performance within the business.

• Prepare and maintain testing plans and test scripts for changes you are implementing and co-ordinate user acceptance testing

• Ensure new IT application implementations are effective and meet business requirements.

The Person:

• Flexible and willing to multi-task, with the ability to deal with a range of issues and conflicting demands and work to deadlines.

• Solutions focused and analytical - can breakdown technical barriers to identify the root causes and find solutions to problems.

• Able to act as a translator between technical professionals and end users to make sure that user requirements, business context/benefits and technical barriers are understood by all stakeholders.

• Able to build and maintain strong on-going relationships with stakeholders across the business.

Desirable:

• Experience supporting Social Housing and/or Finance applications (preferably Capita OPENHousing, OpenAccounts, React, Total Mobile and Advanced DRS).

• Experience delivering one or more of the types of IT projects in our planned programme e.g. electronic document & records management, multi-channel contact centre systems, sales and/or e-marketing systems.

• Where possible we prefer to look to the Microsoft Stack so experience with one or more of Sharepoint (especially for document management), Dynamics 365, Power BI and the Power Platform (MS Forms, Power Automate / Flow and Power Apps) would be advantageous.

• Skills and/or experience of writing SQL queries.
