Working on behalf of our government client, we are currently searching for a Change & Benefits Implementation Lead to help develop and deliver improvements to the current Benefits Management & Realisation process, ensuring that it is aligned to the corporate Benefits Management framework.
Within this role, we believe that you will work with the team to support the organisation to:
- develop a Benefits Management strategy.
- maturing their existing process and systems to support benefits management within the organisation.
- revise and develop reporting dashboards to ensure that they align to the existing governance structure.
- increase awareness and understanding of benefits profiles.
- provide clarity and understanding of roles and responsibilities required to meet the agreed Benefits Management lifecycle.
The overall purpose is to ensure that a 'fit for purpose' approach to benefits measurement and realisation is in place to provide assurance to the organisation that the benefits identified can be achieved and are being evidenced.
Typical responsibilities of the role will include:
*support the benefits management improvement activity and work with the project to support delivery of the business case benefits and outcomes.
*contribute to and help implement the benefits management strategy taking into account the wider organisation methodology.
*maintain the project Benefits Realisation Plan, including developing change control which aligns to corporate change control governance.
*establish the mechanism for the tracking and reporting of benefits through the project lifecycle and into realisation. Produce monthly reports as per the organisational requirements and external stakeholders.
*facilitate workshops and map benefits as required. Apply experience to provide challenge and ensure assumptions are robust. Work with a range of stakeholders to validate and test dependencies.
*develop resources, tools and support to ensure stakeholders are able to track, monitor and report against benefit realisation.
*develop and maintain strong working relationships with Business Change Mangers to ensure the tools required are fit for purpose and in place for enabling the benefits.
We believe that the successful applicant for this opportunity will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
*experience of working in the benefits management and realisation function in a complex multi-million-pound project.
*evidence of building and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
*excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience of providing stakeholders with clear briefing and insightful reporting on issues.
*a track record of delivering outcomes and meeting stakeholder requirements.
*the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adverse situations whilst remaining calm, reassuring others and maintaining performance.
*demonstrable experience of providing, coaching and advice to projects on all aspects of business cases and benefits management and realisation.
* it would be desirable for the successful candidate to have one of the following qualifications:
- APMG Managing Benefits Foundation or Practitioner.
*APM Practitioner Qualification.
*Managing Successful Programmes Foundation or Practitioner.
