Our client a London market insurer has a requirement for a Strategic Change Business Analyst / Senior Consultant to join their London based team.

The purpose of the role:
  • To challenge existing methods and procedures and explore alternative solutions to complex problems
  • Challenge the status quo of internal processes and procedures to identify opportunities to work more efficiently
  • Work with senior management to assist in the development and delivery of growth strategies based on an in-depth understanding of customer needs
  • To create an inherent change culture
  • To build and maintain a change consultancy network
  • Provide resources to deliver change initiatives across the business from initial ideas through execution to realisation of benefits.
  • Designing and shaping operating models, developing the associated organisational capabilities to deliver value

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and apply consulting and analytical skills to effectively solve complex business issues
  • To evaluate and provide expert input into existing and proposed business processes and practices
  • To assess complex problems, understanding requirements and presenting recommendations that are in line with the strategic vision
  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of Fit to Grow workstreams as appropriate, with a primary focus on Underwriting Optimisation
  • To be able to understand the needs of senior management, quickly producing findings, recommendations and models as appropriate
  • To work closely with front office teams and support functions to identify operational improvements
  • To design, develop, implement and improve business practices by working with key stakeholders across the business
  • To engage in project design and delivery by taking a lead role in the definition of business requirements and providing support on a consultancy basis
  • To work closely with the Change Team to ensure project hand-off activities are appropriately controlled, managed and monitored

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with in a Consulting or Change background highly desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Strong team player, with an appreciation of the need to ensure strong links are built and maintained with other business functions and areas
  • Ability to develop and apply consulting skills and effectively solve complex business problems
  • The ability to articulate complex problems, recommendations and solutions in a simple and logical manner
  • Ability to be adaptable and able remove obstacles to delivery in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience of Lean desirable
