Prospectus is working with an independent charity, who work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and the respect they deserve. They help people feel safer and help them find the strength to move beyond crime. They are currently looking to recruit 2 Children and Young People's Domestic Abuse Advocates, to provide a high quality, frontline support to victims of domestic abuse. As a Domestic Abuse Advocate you will deliver specialist and enhanced support to children and young people (aged 5-18) who have experienced Domestic Violence Abuse in the home. You will be responsible for ensuring that high quality and early interventions are delivered, and will facilitate workshops for service users in an educational environment around experiences of crime and domestic abuse. You will develop and enhance key stakeholder relationships with a view to enhancing service delivery partnerships, working closely with social services, schools and further external services.To apply for this role, you must have demonstrable experience of providing direct support to victims of domestic abuse or vulnerable people. You must have a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their children, and the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management. You must have experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework, and of managing a complex caseload. To be considered, you must be available immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS (Adults and Children).
