Director of Finance Operations
Location: Central London
IR35 Status: Inside
Length: Six Months, with possibility of extension

A central government organisation is looking for a Director of Finance Operations to lead on all aspects of financial accounting, statutory reporting, policy and treasury.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Director of Corporate Finance, responsible for financial planning and analysis, to ensure there is a robust framework in place to support reporting requirements
  • Lead and deliver the year end reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting output in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Co-ordinate the process of the preparation and audit of statutory accounts for all entities across the organisation
  • Ensure the establishment of a clear financial policy framework that achieves technical compliance with all relevant accounting and reporting standards
  • Oversee global treasury operations, ensuring that liquidity is managed and foreign exchange risk is minimised

Essential requirements:

  • CCAB qualified accountant with proven experience of successfully managing and delivering in similar roles
  • Knowledge and experience of statutory reporting, both local and group
  • Experience of working in international and multi-cultural organisations
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Significant finance leadership experience, including managing large teams
  • Flexibility, independence and initiative to perform successfully in a rapidly changing environment
