Our Vacancy
Scantech Offshore are currently looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team in Great Yarmouth to help create internal financial reporting processes and creating a real and active partnership with both operations and management providing real time support and analysis and driving continuous finance process improvement & reporting processes to James Fisher plc.

The key role for the FBP will be to assist the FC / FD in the accurate and timely delivery of all financial reports including:

  • Preparation of month end accounts for UK and overseas entities.
  • Responsibility for reconciling all balance sheet accounts
  • Creation of models to analyse data efficiently.
  • Assistance with creation of Management reporting pack.
  • Providing detailed analysis to aid preparation of regional PL's
  • Assisting FC with implementation of new stock system.
  • Provide high quality financial insight and guidance to management based on commercial understanding of the business to support decision making processes.
  • Challenge processes, identify weaknesses and provide recommendations to support the development and implementation of more robust processes and controls.
  • Develop ?Insphire' reporting.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Financial risk register creation
  • Preparation of audit requirements (external and internal)
  • Compliance with Company's policies and procedures
  • Travel to other Scantech Offshore Group and/or James Fisher Group sites as necessary
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out with the highest regard to the health and safety of all involved and to the protection of the environment and prevent pollution
  • Ensure that all work is undertaken to the highest quality and professionalism in accordance with the company integrated management system
  • Identify personal training needs, bring them to the attention of your line manager and utilize training opportunities offered
Who we are looking for
  • Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Financial reporting skills are essential.
  • Experience in improvement of processes
  • Be independent and proactive
  • Ability to recommend best practice process improvements.
  • Experience of dealing with multiple currencies
  • Experience of using full ERP system
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office including advanced level Excel skills
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure in order to meet internal and external reporting deadlines and requirements
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Continuous process change / improvement oriented.
