Financial Control Consultant in Glasgow offering between £300 - £350 per day.
Your new company Our client is an award winning business within the travel industry and well known organisation in Glasgow. As a priority in 2020, our client is looking to invest across their financial control processes with the appointment of Financial Controls manager on a contract basis for 9 months. This is an exciting role spearheading a high profile assurance project during an exciting phase of development.
Your new role
Supporting the FD and Risk manager, the financial controls manager will implement and evaluate the internal controls function, assessing the adequacy of controls and the review process across a range of financial processes. This role will undertake deep dive analysis and audit review of controls and processes across a variety of financial outputs from P2P, revenue and regulatory reporting and formally identify an effective internal controls framework across the business. Managing the project across the business you will work with stakeholders to understand the current control measures in place, assess adequacy and embed more effective processes across the business to improve efficiencies and quality of MI.
You will define clear standards, implement and embed changes into the compliance process winning the hearts and minds of stakeholders to enable these changes to provide maximum impact.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with significant PQE, ideally coming from the profession. You will have excellent knowledge across Internal Audit alongside project management and change experience across corporate governance environments. You will have a proven ability to improve business processes, implement recommendations across financial controls and strong communication skills to facilitate these changes.

This contract will run from January - October with excellent exposure to be gained across finance, change, risk and strategy at a high level.
