Global Head of Community LeadershipMental Health Charity£40KFTC 11 monthsLondonCharity People are thrilled to be working alongside one of the UK's leading Mental Health charities in their search for a dedicated and enthusiastic Global Head of Community Leadership to join their pioneering team.The Charity is undergoing an exciting period of change - they are currently developing and implementing a new global programme to support individuals living with mental health issues, communities and local organisations to address mental health stigma and discrimination in numerous countries around the world. As Global Head of Community Leadership you will have the exciting opportunity to run the strategic management of an innovative and cross-cutting anti-stigma programme, working alongside local NGOs, international mental health NGOs and local communities. In this role you will be responsible for planning the delivery of this project, running training for participants and working towards improving the perception of mental health in local communities. You will lead the work planning for the community leadership work stream, ensure joint planning and delivery with the social marketing and communications Managers, manage the safeguarding and training of NGOs and staff, and ensure the adaptation and translation of relevant resources and materials to relevant cultural contexts. This is a singular opportunity for a driven and flexible individual, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people. You will have demonstrable experience of leading, managing, developing and motivating teams; several years' experience in international development at a senior level and experience of leading the delivery of successful large scale programs. This role will require regular overseas travel, particularly to Africa and Asia.
