Gi Group in Portsmouth are recruiting for a HR Consultant to work with the NHS.

As a HR Consultant you will be providing timely, responsive and effective Human Resource advice and support on operational issues assessing where the focus needs to be depending on key insights and assigning appropriate resource accordingly.

Summary of Responsibilities:

To work with management to provide a professional customer focused consultancy support to all business areas in the identification of employee relations, workforce and change management programmes

To work in partnership with management teams to identify and deliver effective business focused coaching led HR solutions which improve organisational effectiveness, enables teams to achieve business objectives and actively influence a high performance culture that is able to attract, retain, motivate and develop high quality people

It is essential that the suitable candidate has the following:

Experience:
Delivered a customer focused HR Consultancy service to multiple functions, with a well-developed knowledge of employment law, best HR practice, HR policy and procedure.
Experience of working with managers at different levels of seniority to resolve complex employee relations issues including organisation change/transformation.
Two years post graduate generalist experience which includes the management of a variety of HR cases.

Skills:
Ability to effect positive change in HR Management practice through the effective use of communication and persuasive skills.
Advanced communication skills both written and oral, and the ability to present information to range of stakeholders.
Ability to manage workload priorities to meet potentially competing demands and deadlines.
Proficient keyboard skills and ICT skills (including the use of MS Office).
Proven organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Empathetic, tactful, sensitive, confident and articulate.
Ability to work as a part of a close knit team.

Knowledge:
Understanding of personal health and safety responsibilities.
Advanced understanding of employment legislation.
A working knowledge of HR databases and systems.

You must be able to travel daily for meetings across a range of sites in Southampton, Hampshire and Portsmouth areas so your own transport is essential.
