Our client, a FTSE 100 subscription based technology organisation is in the process of building a Group Business Intelligence team in order to support the divisional finance functions. The purpose of this team will be to ensure that the Finance leadership team has the right information, analysis and insight to help the business achieve its strategic goals. This important new role is both strategic and technical in nature and will become a focal point in the new Group BI team.

You will be responsible for:
*Managing and developing the Group Finance Analysis team to deliver insightful and commercially astute analysis projects that support strategic and operational decision-making.
*Owning and delivering an analysis roadmap that helps to improve the quality of analytics outputs and capability across Finance.
*Managing the Group Finance Analysis team: growing and motivating the team, setting direction and pace, establishing the standards and principles for delivery and engagement.
*Lead the development and implementation of an analysis roadmap that improves the quality of analytics outputs and capability across Finance.
*Delivery of well-designed, thorough, innovative and commercially-focussed analysis projects to support key strategic decision making.
*Implement best in class data analytics practises, clear presentation of findings, and help to establish a core set of analysis tools and data across Finance.
*Maintain a thorough understanding of current performance trends across the business in order to ensure relevant insights are delivered to the CFOs and senior executives in a timely fashion.
*Work closely with Technology and the Finance Data team to ensure development of appropriate data platforms and solutions to support Analysis team delivery.

The successful applicant will possess strong mangement skills; able to act swiftly and decisively with confidence, have experience of managing and growing an analysis team within a large organisation, have expert understanding of analytics best practice and new/evolving analysis tools along with a strong hands-on technical skill set (e.g. SQL, SAP, Qlik, R, Python)
