Head of Finance - £75000 FTC - FMCG - London, United Kingdom,

Communicate is currently working with an instantly recognizable FMCG business based in West London. They are currently looking for an experienced Head of Finance to take over on an initial 6 month contract, with the view that the ideal candidate could be taken on permanently.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in an FMCG environment and be immediately available. A full accounting qualification is required and past experience in leading the upscale of an organisation will be prioritized.

The business is entering an exciting period of growth and the finance team will be instrumental in ensuring that all systems and processes are reviewed, updated and implemented effectively to enable the business to scale. The Head of Finance will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and promote positive changes to existing systems, controls, processes and procedures. The position requires a strong character with excellent knowledge of supply chain accountancy, financial analysis skills and the ability to work with Senior Management across all departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting to the Board
  • Manage annual statutory reporting and audit process
  • Ownership of the annual group budget and departmental budgets process working with the CEO/COO/Group FD
  • Ownership of group forecast model including balance sheet and cash flow forecasting
  • Manage and maintain working capital efficiently
  • Prepare and manage regular weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Responsible for overseeing, reviewing and implementing effective controls across the finance department and wider business
  • Prepare returns for Corporation Tax (external advisor), PAYE/NI, VAT
  • Leading, managing and developing the finance team
  • Ad hoc projects for Senior Management
