This is an exciting contract opportunity to join one of the most dynamic international telecommunications companies in London, providing maternity cover for the organisation's Head of L&D. This role provides the chance to lead a fast paced Learning and Development and Internal Communications Team reporting directly to the HR Director. You will manage a team of 4 including Senior L&D, business partners and internal communications, and will be focused on leading the organisations global L&D strategy providing innovative and up to date solutions for learning interventions through technology and methods.

The role:

  • Develop relationships with all levels in the business, including gaining buy-in and direction from senior leadership for key learning and development initiatives and priorities
  • Lead implementation of L&D module for new HR system, rolling out to business and ensuring engagement and ability to utilise new analytics
  • Design, execute and evaluate programmes that target and address specific development needs of the organization based on a variety on inputs
  • Identify training vendors and manage those relationships
  • Manage training and engagement globally for new Finance and HR systems
  • Develop format of Global Leadership Forum in line with requirements of Leadership Team and make all arrangements to ensure success
  • Take ownership of the L&D budget, providing monthly progress update and annual forecast data
  • Liaise and consult with the broader HR team to ensure programmes and initiatives are meeting the needs of our diverse client base
  • Lead the usage of LinkedIn across the team
  • Organise and arrange training interventions for staff globally

Core skills:

Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business to achieve L&D objectives

Experience working within a similarly large and complex/multi-structured organisation

Ability to present information confidently to Senior Level Stakeholders

Hands-on approach to L&D within the business, as well as experience working with outsourced
