Amazing opportunity for an experienced public-sector procurement professional seeking a new interim contract.
Your new company
A well-known, public sector organisation based in central Manchester is seeking an interim Head of Procurement to join the team on an interim basis for a 6 month assignment (inside scope of IR35).
Your new role
As Head of Procurement, you will be responsible for the management and leadership of the procurement team, who deliver contract management services and procurements to deliver optimum VFM. You will effectively engage with stakeholders at various levels of seniority as well as influencing senior managers on commercial decisions, all in line with public-sector procurement legislation. You will work to proactively identify areas for commercial improvements and you will represent the procurement team in meetings. This role may also involve travel and overnight stays.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have prior experience in a public-sector procurement capacity with OJEU experience. You will have team management experience within a procurement environment and a strong track record of success throughout your career. You will ideally be MCIPS qualified, too.
