Headstart Programme Manager Position: Headstart Programme Manager Location: London Job type: Part Time, Fixed Term Contract Salary: £32,000 per annum HeadStart is an award winning incentivised volunteering programme which gets young people active in their local community by rewarding them with skills workshops and a guaranteed interview for a paid part-time role. Our client is exploring the developing of the HeadStart model to provide support for a wider range of participants. Your role will be to lead on the development and delivery of a pilot model of HeadStart, in partnership with the London Community Rehabilitation Company, working with small groups of males aged 18-24 who have either recently left or are leaving custody. You will adapt the existing HeadStart and HeadStart Action models/activities to suit this new target group, building and testing a participant focused programme, and evaluating its outcomes and impact. Responsibilities - Design pilot programme, materials, and resources in partnership with funders, service users, community partners, and business partners. - Work with a range of external stakeholders to ensure the pilot reflects the needs of partners and users. - Deliver the programme directly to 2-3 cohorts to service users, including training sessions, social action project delivery, interview preparation and review/reflection - Recruit and line manage a co-facilitator during programme delivery - Iterate design between cohorts, monitor progress, and evaluate the outcomes of the programme on completion of the pilot - Provide 1:1 support to service users throughout programme, including creating personal plans and regular progress reviews. Skills and experience: Essential - Programme and activity design experience, including resource creation - Experience of working directly with adult groups both in custody and in the community - Excellent project manager with experience of budget management, logistics, and evaluation - Experienced facilitator and trainer - Line management experience - High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure - Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience
