Housing Strategy Officer - Glasgow, Lanarkshire, United Kingdom,

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Housing Strategy Officer for a 6 month contract. Based in Glasgow on a rate of £140 -£160 a day (inside of IR35).

ROLE

To support the delivery of Local Housing Strategy and related housing policy through the analysis and presentation of data from a range of housing information systems, conducting housing research and assisting with the development of new policies and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assist in the preparation, ongoing review and evaluation of the Local Housing Strategy (LHS)
Gathering, analysing and reporting on information required for housing need and demand assessment
Maintain key data sources
Provide information to council services and partner agencies on housing need, homelessness, fuel poverty and other housing matters
Assist with reviews of existing policies/initiatives related to housing
Conduct research required for developing, monitoring and evaluating projects and strategies
Liaise with housing developer, RSL's and others on delivery of affordable housing projects
Assisting with consultation arrangements for strategic housing matters
Collate and disseminate information to key stakeholders
Liaise with council services and external agencies including Housing Associations and the Scottish Government on strategic housing matters

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Experience of working within a housing strategy or housing policy environment
Able to demonstrate experience in complex data analysis
Experience of policy development
Research experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong IT skills and able to develop and manage databases, spreadsheets and reports
Good report writing skills
Good interpersonal skills
Highly numerate
Project management skills
Ability to use SPSS would be desirable
