We're looking for amazing people to help us drive a digital revolution for the benefit of society.About you
We know that sometimes people can be off applying for a job if they think they can't tick every box. But we realise the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist. So, if you can do most of what we are looking for, go ahead and apply. You could be exactly what we need!
We're ideally looking for someone with:
- A good knowledge of the OJEU procurement processes, procedures and the ability to track and advise on changes to relevant legislation.
- The ability to lead on some below EU threshold procurements and utilise the LUPC or other public-sector frameworks where possible.
- The ability to ensure that a robust audit trail via the eProcurement system is maintained for each individual procurement.
- The ability to provide training on EU legislation to procurement panel members.
With a successful 2018, and ambitious plans to continue helping education and research into the fourth industrial revolution, we are seeking a talented procurement coordinator to work within our Procurement Team.
You will be responsible for defining and developing the controls, measures and reports to ensure that the Procurement team deliver strategic objectives.
This is an exciting procurement role controlling all major elements of Procurement's targets, ensuring that robust controls and measures are in place and to OJEU processes. You will also take the lead on smaller projects, influencing the Procurement teams' sourcing strategies.
The EU legislation is modified on occasion and (together with the Director of Procurement and Jisc Procurement Manager), we need you to assist in tracking legislation and to advise on changes that should make to procurement processes.
As a part of the team, you will also assist colleagues in the continual development of the Procurement Strategy for Jisc by monitoring and acting upon developments in procurement legislation and good practice and to manage the process within the management framework.
