Circa. £80-105K Base Salary + Bonus, Pension & Benefits Circa. £120-150K Package Pro-Rata
Johnson Matthey is driving improvement programmes to enhance the way it delivers and manages IT services to each of its business sectors. In order to achieve this the need for a Programme Lead role has been identified to support the Quality, Regulatory & EHS team. The role is based in our Royston Office on a fixed term contract basis with scope to extend beyond April 2021.
The Programme lead will be responsible for two distinct phases of work:
Tactical remediation - Working in collaboration with an assigned Sector and specifically with the Quality, Regulatory & EHS team and using specialist third parties and internal resources identify and address immediate tactical needs to improve security and system performance and where possible support the standardisation of these systems and their processes. All system improvements will be delivered in accordance with computerised system validation processes. The activity could vary but a suggested approach is shown below:
· Phase 1 - Discovery
· Identifying requirements for specialist third party support and implementing these relationships
· Capturing business requirements with a strong focus on meeting regulatory requirements and risk management activities (using in house or third party (or both) resources)
· Completing discovery activities to catalogue the make-up of the 'as is' environment
· Identify industry frameworks, policies and standards and compliance requirements to be implemented against
· Undertake gap analysis - between discovery and standards
· Develop tactical remediation plan to size and scale programme of activity
· Phase 2 - Remediation
· Pilot tactical remediation (probably at most critical site or application)
· Review pilot, revise approach and as necessary
· Complete remaining tactical remediations
· Retest to make sure vulnerabilities removed, backups in place
Developing long term support of systems - Working with the JMIT Business Systems Development (BSD) department and an assigned sector, specifically with the Quality, Regulatory & EHS team. Define and design a programme of work to establish key capabilities to onboard sector applications and systems into the management of JMIT. This activity will include:
· Supporting architectural resources to deliver target state road maps and supporting artefacts
· Establishing clear JMIT/Sector responsibilities related to JM assigned sector services
· Defining and sizing an operating model using the established Centre Of Excellence (COE) operating model already inexistence with BSD for both sector specific applications and infrastructure services which complements JMIT's wider organisation and strategic direction
· Generating an outline approach and business case to deliver a multi-year plan to move services under the management of JMIT which will be delivered by an implementation workstream
· Creating a budget to support the plans
The role works closely with key business stakeholders, including Quality & Regulatory, specialist third parties and also with the relevant JM IT teams across Architecture, Business Systems Development, Infrastructure & Operations and the Global Cyber Security team to define the strategy and plans for the activities, develop business cases and build roadmaps which deliver long term value to Johnson Matthey.
Key responsibilities:
· Formulate a planned approach for both tactical and strategic activities
· Identify the role and engagement model for specialist 3 rd party support to compliment internal skills and capabilities
· Management of resources, schedules, financials and adherence to all applicable quality standards.
· Coordinate the JM assigned Sector requirements into the delivery of the project, meeting the agreed quality and project performance standards as agreed with the sponsor
· Adopt and utilise the JMIT Project delivery framework, including resource management and planning tools
· Ensure the delivery of the project within the JMIT Project governance frameworks and associated stage gates, including provision of financial and performance reporting
· Ensure the delivered solution is in line with the requirements of JMIT policies, including JMIT Security requirements and meets the requirements of the Information Security Strategy
· Engage with key internal (JMIT) and external project stakeholders across the assigned sector and specifically with the Quality, Regulatory & EHS team
· Develop and maintain the project management products
· Control the day-to-day activities of the project to meet the Sponsor's specified outputs for the project
· Determine sector specific regulatory requirements which will need to be met by the programme and in any steady state operational format
Deliver leadership within the broader IT Team
· Member of the extended Johnson Matthey IT (JM IT) Leadership Team.
· As a member of the global JM IT community you will be a champion of the function's values and culture, while demonstrating and openly encouraging the behaviours expected from a professional, best in-class IT team.
· Work with the leadership team within the JM IT team to refine and develop JM's IT understanding of the assigned sector
Background and experience needed:
· Programme Management Experience
· Proven experience of cross organisation/department working and demonstration of teamwork, innovation and excellence. Ability to lead up, across and down multiple business units, ability to bring people together and resolve conflicts
· Strong knowledge of infrastructure and application operating models
· Awareness of GAMP and GMP guidelines
· Excellent creative, analytical problem-solving skills
· Experience of successfully driving Business Change management activities
· Creation of >£2m business cases
