Badenoch and Clark are working in partnership with a prestigious company in Southampton to recruit for a Senior Learning and Development Manager.

To be responsible for all training activities for all of the Census 2021 programme, customer facing functions. To define and lead the delivery of strategic training solutions. To ensure training design and delivery excellence. To lead the learning and development team with considerable knowledge of training, enthusiasm for the results and passion for positive solutions.

Scope of the role:

The Senior L&D Manager will become intimately familiar with the documents such as: Job Descriptions, Scalars, Training Needs Analysis, and Job Competencies
The Senior L&D Manager will work closely with the Training Lead to glean more detail and learning from the last Census, informing the new role requirements and learning objectives, to identify all functional learning and developments needs for each role.
The Senior L&D must understand the organisational needs of the Census to inform suitable training that is applicable to all roles, specifically the managers. Organisational needs often include organisational values, behaviours, policies, and procedures.
Sets clear direction to the team and is able to share vision with client and colleagues.
Demonstrates good judgement and drives change.

The successful candidate will have the following:
Proven track record of leading Learning & Performance functions (content/curriculum development, delivery, learning technologies, data/reporting, etc.) in a customer focused contact centre or operations environment required.
Demonstrated success implementing instructional development processes, distance learning, online course management, and other learning technologies that improve business performance metric in a service delivery business.
Experience with Learning Management Systems, as well as knowledge and understanding of current Training and Adult Education technologies
Ability to develop on-demand virtual modules for targeted and/or refresher training to improve individual and team performance
Experience in leveraging temporary/flexible staffing models to manage through large fluctuations in demand, including vendor management
