The client is a successful and fast-growing business providing an exciting range of extreme experience activities throughout the UK. The business engages heavily in marketing through digital channels, which it utilises for advertising and raising band profile, lead generation, and platforms for servicing and communicating with customers. Whilst they have predominantly been B2C focused, they have also been developing B2B activities, and they acquire customers both directly and via affiliates.
They have a requirement for an experienced commercial Marketing Consultant to join on an interim basis, reporting to the CEO, in order to conduct a strategic review, and to present a sales and marketing strategy which identifies and recommend ways in which the business can deliver on its objectives for growth and expansion. This will entail understanding and assessing current commercial sales and marketing activities, the product portfolio, pricing, channels to market, strengths and weaknesses, and conducting market and competitor research in order to identify recommendations and build business cases. The role will encompass both the development and enhancement of existing activities, and also looking at how the business can diversify and develop its offering, and footprint; for instance the potential for international expansion.
The role may suit an experienced Marketing Consultant who has operated in senior level interim or project based marketing roles, with similar remit. A well-developed understanding of brand building and customer acquisition via digital marketing channels is essential, as is the depth of commercial experience required to build robust business cases around marketing, product and market development.
